3 week rolling schedules for your jobsites

Many contractors face problems regarding existing jobsite production. One item that could help increase the rate of production is to fill out a simple 3 week rolling schedule. By filling this out the office knows what is expected to be completed by a given date. The field supervisor knows what materials will be needed in a timely manner so that items that need to be ordered can with out delaying the job. Questions about how a task is to be completed can also be asked early enought to find a solution. These schedules need to be updated weekly to continue to give adequate time to get that vital information, have the material and tools on site in a timely manner.

If a project is large enoug and has long lead time items you might consider also utilizing a 3 month rolling schedule. These will be significantly more vague then the 3 week schedule but will offer a time frame to get quoted materials ordered, submittals prepared and approved and enough time to have the materials on site when needed
